The good thing about winter and cold, crummy weather is that it leaves me with lots of time to spend in my craft room! I don't want to spend much time outside when it's snowing and in the 20s. Over the weekend, I put some of my spare time to use by working on my latest solids project and I was able to finish piecing the top.
I decided to go with the striped fabric and pieced it so the stripes (almost) line up.
It's not perfect, but I'm ok with that. Once it's quilted and washed, I don't think it will be very noticeable. Now I need to get some more batting, decide on the backing and then I'll be ready to move on to making my quilt sandwich.
Once I finished piecing the top, Betty kept me company while I worked on my plus quilt. She's such a thoughful girl :) One row down, 23 to go! It hasn't been a quick project, but progress is progress, right?
