A Bit Much

I think it's safe to say I have a little too much going on in my life right now. It would be REALLY nice if I could cross off a few of the approximately 453 projects on my to do list. Soon, I keep telling myself, soon. And if we ever sold our old house, we'd have more time on our hands since we wouldn't be running over there at least once a week to do yard work. Not.fun.

One of those 453 projects is a bathroom with half of the wallpaper removed. The previous owners of our house decided it would be a fabulous idea to paint over the wallpaper instead of removing it. Initially we thought we'd repaint over the pink painted wallpaper but there were a lot of chunky/drip spots that needed to be smoothed out (the previous owners were HORRIBLE painters). There were also areas of wallpaper that were starting to peel away from the wall so we decided to bite the bullet and remove it all. We got half of it done last Saturday and left the rest for later, most likely this weekend.

Another project is my half-painted, big mess of a craft room. I wasn't going to start painting it until we finished the bathroom, but then Chris went out of town for a few days for work and I decided I liked the shade of the mis-tint paint special we picked up at Lowe's months ago. Fortunately, it shouldn't take me long to finish because I've painted all the trim. Fingers crossed, this will definitely get crossed off my list this weekend. Unfortunately, my craft room is probably going to be a mess for awhile because most of the furniture for it is still at our old house.

I also have a slew of sewing projects that are almost finished, half finished, barely started and sitting on my list just waiting to be brought to life. I am impressed with how much I've gotten done considering what a mess my craft room is and how little time I have to work on them, but I'll be really happy when I have several more finished. I did finish one earlier this week that I'll be posting about soon!

On top of everything else I have going on, my unfinished knitting projects have suddenly started nagging at me too. Why oh why should I care about them? I mean really. It's the end of June, about a million degrees outside (ok, maybe not that hot but I'm sooo not a fan of temps above 80, especially if it's humid) and I have absolutely no need for any knitted items this time of year. But alas, they sit there nagging at me...In their defense, I DO need to finish one of them to determine how much yarn I'll need to make more for some upcoming gifties.

Sighhhh. So little time, so much to do.

The previous owners of our house did the same thing... paint over wallpaper over other wallpaper over paint... ugh. I think once we got it all down, we gained at least a 1/4 inch of wall all the way around!

Keep your chin up! Whittle down that To-Do list - you can do it!! : )
